  2. Definition • Characterization is the process of conveying information about characters in fiction. Characters are usually presented through their actions, dialect, and thoughts, as well as by description. Groovy baby!

  3. Types of “Major” Characters • There are two types of Major Characters • Protagonist: The character whom which the story centers around. Often times the hero or “good-guy” of the story. • Antagonist: The character who is in direct opposition with the Protagonist.

  4. Round Vs. Flat Characters • Round Character: A character with many personality traits. • Flat Character: A character with very few personality traits.

  5. Dynamic vs. Static Characters • Dynamic Character: A character who undergoes a major change in personality. • Static Character: A character who remains unchanged throughout the story. I Want a Billion Trillion Dollars!
