What is happening? • Violence against women all over the world, is accepted to be legitimate. • Regardless of economic status, race and such factors, violence against women is a significant phenomenon occurring as a result of unequal power relations among men and women. • No matter how violence puts women's lives the fear and prevents them from using fundamental rights and freedoms also puts insecurity.

  3. Current Works AroundtheWorld • “Treaty of Preventing Differentiation against Women” is a very crucial step towards the development of women statute all over the world. Manyexamples of supporttowomenaroundtheworld; • the UN Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women of 20 December 1993 and the resolution on the elimination of domestic violence against women, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 22 December 2003, which recognize the urgent need for elimination of violence against women,having regard to its resolutions of 16 September 1997 for an EU-wide campaign for zero tolerance of violence against women and of 2 February 2006 on the current situation in combating violence against women and any future action, • the UNIFEM campaign 'Say NO to Violence against Women', which highlights the need for action and protection of women against violence, • Rule 116 of its Rules of Procedure.

OUR CONTRUBITION • Theprojectwillcontribute in reachingthegoals of suchworks: Informing people, families and public, getting education in equal conditions, providing women equality of opportunities, making women effective on political decisions, increasing the education level in society will be effective on preventing the violence and differentiation.

  5. Project Goals • The project willprovide victims of violenceanddiscriminationwithsupport throughteachingtheirrightsandpossibleopportunitiestopreventfromsuchtreatments. • Theprojectalsoaimstoget the women know and be aware of their responsibilities towards themselves and the society.

  6. Project Activities • Informational meetings will be held to women-who suffer from violence about raising of awareness and training for women in receiving for guidance and counseling services can be referred to the introduction of facilities. • In-service training courses for women under risk will be organized by NGO' representatives. • Seminars by adult education centers will be held at least two weeks in each country with the involvement of 50 participants in coordination with university academicians. • A book will be published in all languages of partners leading the target group to inform about their rights.

Project Benefits • In the project will be usedfor benefit of women especially socio-economically disadvantaged and under pressure.Toreachthisend, allEU partner countries willsharetheresposibilitiesforthe work and achievements of theprojects. • The project will help to maintain improvement in the investment made on the women education programsandthe cooperation of non- profit foundations, local administrations and the authorized social foundations. • Theproject will support non-educated women to become an effective member in the society by uniting their capabilities and forces.Theprojectwillsupportwomenforimproving their personal development through widespread education in society not only in Turkey but in EU countries as well.

  8. WHAT ARE WE NOW? • Thesurvey has beenmadewithemployedwomen (Teachersand Bank employee) in Romania, Poland, andTurkey. • The Project has beenintroducedtothepublicbymediatocreateawareness in thesubjectmatter.

WHERE ARE WE GOING NOW? • Thosethreecountries has continuedtomakethesurveyswithunemployedwomen. • A bookwill be publishedtoannouncethe data collected in surveys. • Inaddition, a book will be published in all languages of partners leading the target group to inform about their rights. • Sustainibility of theprojectwill be supportedbythemedia.
