WebQuest: Creating a Classroom Environment Rhonda Butler, Teaching Professions I This is a WebQuestthat will allow students to research information about setting up a classroom environment that is both safe and conducive to learning. Students will be researching physically and emotionally safe classroom environments as well as classrooms that are conducive to learning. Students will be designing a pamphlet about creating a classroom climate that is safe and conducive to learning. This pamphlet will contain resources, information and ideas for teachers to create a classroom that “works” best for students. Culminating Project: Concrete Design - Design a physical space that meets the specified goals, while working within realistic resource constraints. To develop knowledge of the options (physical things, styles, themes) available within designing a classroom, as well as the tradeoffs involved in choosing among them.
