Revitalizing Ventspils: Transforming Brownfields for a Cleaner Future

The Ventspils County Municipality is undertaking significant efforts to transform dangerous and degraded brownfield sites, particularly the abandoned building at Street Rupnicas No. 7, Ugale. Built in 1976, this structure has become a safety hazard due to crumbling conditions and vandalism. With a planned redevelopment covering an area of 5223 m², this initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for residents, improve safety, and create a more attractive environment. Dismantling works are underway, with completion expected by July 2019.
