  3. Session Goals • Create an awareness of connection between poor posture and the development of pain for the office worker • Identify solutions for preventing poor posture • Introduce simple stretches to help alleviate and prevent pain

  4. Poor Posture and Pain Poor posture includes: • Shoulders hunched forward • Slouched back • Tense shoulders Can lead to the development of migraine headaches, tension headaches & back pain

  5. Maintaining Proper Posture Try to be aware of your posture… • Shoulders down, and back • Sit up straight, lengthen your spine • Ensure good back support (supportive chair/cushion) • Take short stretch breaks

  6. Stretch to alleviate & prevent Pain • Be mindful of your posture • Take 5 -10 minutes each day at work to stretch • Keep well-hydrated; water helps to flush out toxins.
