Innovative Rehabilitation Engineering Capstone Projects for Enhancing Accessibility

This course focuses on senior design projects that aim to assist individuals with disabilities through innovative engineering solutions. Students from Mechanical Engineering (ME), Biomedical Engineering (BME), and Computer Science Engineering (CSE) collaborate in integrated teams to develop assistive devices. Projects include NASA sterilization systems, mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and other rehabilitation engineering innovations. The course structure involves two semesters, where students engage in project selection, team integration, and real-world application of engineering principles to improve the quality of life for disabled individuals.
