The Old Man & the SeaBy Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) • Reporter for the Kansas City Star • Ambulance driver in WWI • Injured while working with Italian infantry • After WWI, worked for Toronto Star • Lived in Paris & Key West • During Spanish War & WWII, was a newspaper correspondent • Lived in Cuba until 1958 • Lived in Idaho until 1961 • Died in 1961 (suicide)
