Overview of the Project – Goals & Objectives • Student Achievement Goal 1: 86% of students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 from all nine schools in the project will be proficient or advanced on the DakotaSTEP assessment in math in 2010. • Objective 1: Students in grades 3 and 4 from classes of the teachers in the cohort group will be able to analyze characteristics of the real number system when assessed on Number Sense Indicator 1, answering 5.3 correct on the DakotaSTEP assessment in 2010. • Objective 2: Students in grade 5 from classes of the teachers in the cohort group will be able to solve problems and verify the results when assessed on Number Sense Indicator 3, answering 3.9 correct on the DakotaSTEP assessment in 2010. • Objective 3: Students in grade 6 from classes of the teachers in the cohort group will be able to predict outcomes and solve problems when assessed on Statistics & Probability Indicator 2, answering 4.2 correct on the DakotaSTEP assessment in 2010. • Student Achievement Goal 2: 71% of students in grade 11 from all nine schools in the project will be proficient or advanced on the DakotaSTEP assessment in math in 2010. • Objective 1: Students in grade 11 from classes of the teachers in the cohort group will be able to predict outcomes and solve problems when assessed on Statistics & Probability Indicator 2, answering 4.2 correct on the DakotaSTEP assessment in 2010. • Professional Development Goal 1: 80% of cohort teachers will increase their technology integration by 1 LoTi implementation level at the conclusion of the project. • Objective 1: 60% of cohort teachers will implement 1 unit per semester utilizing a minimum of three 21st Century student centered outcomes (critical thinking skills, problem solving, and project-based learning). • Professional Development Goal 2: 55% of teachers from the nine participating school districts will indicate through a PD survey that their skills and knowledge in technology integration following the workshop was higher than before the workshop started. • Objective 1: 55% of teachers will increase their use of technology in the classrooms as determined by a teacher checklist
