  2. Templates Layout – pre-set plan for the format of elements on a slide like: Title Only and Text & Clip Art Design – Background assigned to slides for a consistent look

  3. Views Normal – a view that allows you to see the outline, slides, and notes all on one page Slide Sorter – a view that allows you to see all of your slides and rearrange the order

  4. Content 6 x 6 Rule – 6 words per line, 6 lines per slide (approximately) Print Screen – takes a “picture” of what on your screen Hyperlink – allows you to click on some text and advance to any slide

  5. Content Cont. Promoting – moving from a hyphenated line to a bulleted line (shift-tab left) Demoting –moving from a bulleted line to a hyphenated line (tab right) • Example • example

  6. Effects Transitions – special animation which can be seen when you advance from slide to slide Custom Animation – adds an effect to an element of the slide Effect Options – use this to set paths and movements for slide elements

  7. Slides Speaker Notes – used for additional information to the presenter that the audience can not see Slide Master – a slide layer that will show up on all slides Custom – a special slide show you create that doesn’t display all the slides in the show

  8. Presentation Esc – key used to end a slide show F5 – key used to start a slide show PgDn – key used to advance to the next slide in a slide show • enter • spacebar • mouse click

  9. Parallel Structure Parallel Structure - starting each line with the same structure • same type of word • verb • adjective • noun • used to keep all slides consistent
