  2. Shop Orientation and procedures • Safety in the shop starts with the construction or needs to be in a place with all the things list. • Good light • Adequate electrical • Proper ventilation • Ground electrical outlets

Safety Colors • The color system was published by the American society of auricular engineers and the safety committee of the American vocational assertion. • It is used by ANSI, DOT, NSC, OSHA. • Red=Danger • Orange=Warning • Yellow=Caution • Blue=Information • Black and Yellow Diagonal Strips=Radioactivity • White=Traffic areas

  4. Safety Glasses and face shields • Because the eyes are the most easily damaged they should be protected at all times. • Face shields should be use when doing anything with bright light.

  8. Types of fire Extinguishers • Water =class a fires • Carbon dioxide= class b fires • Dry chemical=A, B, and C fires • Blankets= for smothering fires on humans or animales

  9. Signs of Danger • SMV is used to id slow vehicles and it is a Fluorescent orange triangle with red reflective border

  10. What to do • If someone or hurt notify the teacher keep everyone calm call the fire department clear area use fire extinguishers if this seems logical under the circumstance.
