Community Engagement Strategies: Tackling Homelessness in 2011

In 2011, our outreach efforts encompassed various strategies to address homelessness. Key initiatives included public speaking engagements, articles in newspapers, and radio spots to raise awareness. Collaborations with local agencies and churches like Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and outreach to businesses such as McDonald's and Wendy's helped garner support and donations. We analyzed unsheltered counts, reported increases in homelessness, and identified families in need. Our engagement aimed at enhancing community understanding and mobilizing resources for effective solutions.
