  2. Upcoming Events Drop Day BreakfastWhen: Thursday, October 11th from 7:30 to 9:30 AMWhere: CULC 131Members are welcome to come to get free breakfast!!! SWE Homecoming When: October 17-27 Where: Different depending on event Be sure to go to the events you signed up for and get waivers to Lizzie by noon on Thursday! We are registered for: Powderpuff Football and Cheerleading Chalking Burdell Legacy Can-Struction Egg Toss Dizzy Bat

  3. Upcoming Events WECE Halloween Party What: Joint Halloween Party with WECE! When: Pumpking Carving Sunday, October 28 (Time TBD), party Monday, October 29, 7-9 pm. Where: Molecular Science Building Atrium We will have games, a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, food, giveaways, and prizes! Come out to get to know some girls in WECE and have fun with your SWEesters! TEAM Buzz What: SWE is giving back to the Atlanta community by participating in TEAM Buzz! When: November 3, 7:30 am - 1 pm Where: Meet at the Campanile SWE is helping at the Blue Heron Nature Reserve.  Sign up online (main.teambuzz.org) Oct. 8-12 with the code sweservice.  Participants will get free breakfast and lunch, a free t-shirt, and 1 SWE point per hour.

  4. More Upcoming Events • Fall Middle School Outreach  • Where: Bill Moore Student Success Center • When: Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is from noon until 5pm but we need volunteers to set-up(11-noon), during the event, and for clean-up(5-6) • What: We are looking for volunteers to help out at our Fall Middle School Outreach Event. We need those working during the event to be doing activities with the girls (we will show you what activities we're doing before the event.) Please sign-up in the google doc.  Please email Yi at swemsoutreach@gmail.com if you have any questions.  Oh, and every volunteer gets a free t-shirt! • Engineer’s Ball • What: Semiformal for all of campus, hosted by SWE • When: Friday, January 11, 9 pm – midnight • Where: Student Center Ballroom • If you are interested in helping with planning and preparations, email Christina Hamm at sweengineersball@gmail.com

  5. Corporate Opportunities The Stilettos to Steel Toes Essay Contest is now open!   Please submit your 100-350 word essay to http://www.stilettostosteeltoes.com/  by October 15, 2012.  This is a great opportunity to earn cash for yourself and SWE!
