  2. Steriods • They increases the growth of muscle resulting in muscle bulk and strength. The type of sports person that would what to take this band drug would be competing in explosive events or strength events for e.g weight lifters, boxers ,javelin throwers, shot putters ,props in rugby, as they all want to be stronger and better sports players but it is cheating Negative Side Effects They increase the risk of you getting heart disease and it also increases your blood pressure and can lead to aggressive behaviour Also if you are a female it can also change your hormones. and encourage facial hair growth and other male characteristics. It also couseschanges in cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, acne, liver damage, and changes to the structure of the heart.

  3. Growth hormones • They also increases your muscle growth and which leads to muscle bulk and increase strength.in adults human growth hormone increases the number of red blood cells, boosts heart function and makes more energy available by stimulating the breakdown of fat. Side effects The side effects can be very dangerous and can lead to death because of heart disease. Also the side effect also can include increased anger in sport and outside of sport.

  4. Blood doping Blood doping, is sometimes used to improve the oxygen carrying capacity of the body. Before a race extra blood is injected into the blood stream. As a result, it could give an advantage to those involved in sports requiring endurance. For e.g. for marathon runners would gain a great advantage if they cheated by blood doping because there cardiovascular system would be able to carry more oxygenated blood to the working muscles and they would tire less quickly than an athlete that was not cheating . NEGATIVE side effects They is a massive chance of infection and also the the capillary's can become blocked . Also the kidney are over worked.The cardiovascular system may become overloaded and fail to function properly.

  5. Diuretics Diuretics are used to lose weight quick, they cause rapid water loss and as a result weight is lost and athletes may what this to maybe go down a class maybe to weigh less for a race. But some people need to lose weight before a fight such as in judo. This is because they may need to lower their weight to get into a weight category which gives them more chance to win Negative Side effects • They cause rapid water loss, which can cause dehydration. This can be extremely dangerous to any athlete, especially when competing in contact sports

  6. Negative effects on drugs Corticosteroids • The negative effects of corticosteroids are that it has been proven to increase the possibility of diabetes. Additional common side effects are: cough , general aches and pains or general feeling of illness , greenish-yellow mucus in nose, headache hoarseness or other voice changes ,loss of appetite runny, sore, or stuffy nose unusual tiredness and weakness (ask.com) research Marijuana The negative effects of marijuana are that your balance and co-ordination decrease . That could effect the way you kick a ball maybe in football or have a negative impact on any sport that needs coordination and also balance. It also causes a uncaring attitude which could effect your performance in team sports. Alcohol The negative effects of alcohol are that your balance and co-ordination that could effect the way you run or jump. It also can make you over confident this is dangerous in contacted sports such as football, rugby and also sports such as driving formula 1 or skiing or rock-climbing ,diving Beta blockers The negative effects of beta blockers is that it reduces blood pressure and also lowers your endurance other side effects are diarrhea, rash, slow heartbeat, and impotence or loss of sexual drive and dizzy or light-headed. All of these side effects would have a negative effect on sports performance.

  7. The negative effect • Many people take these drugs for many different reasons to maybe become the best ?or just to change the way they look. But all of these drugs have a punishment if you are caught using them in professional sport by being banned and being fined e.gPaddy Kenny
