Interregional Transportation Strategic Plan Objective 4 – Connect Urbanizing and High Growth Centers to Trunk Anticipate New Centers to Follow Historical Trends • 2000 Census added 10 New Urbanized Areas - Six on Focus Routes - Three on Interstates - One in Proximity to Focus • 2040 Population Added to SR 99 Co’s – 5.2 M and US 101 – 3.2 M • Importance of Focus Routes Development - 13 Urbanized Areas on SR 99 - 13 on US 101 from Ventura Co. North
