    3. What is it? A proactive initiative developed by VCC and UCF to provide students who complete an AA or AS degree guaranteed access to UCF Assists with the seamless transition from VCC to UCF with early interventions along the way

    4. How is it different from 2+2? 2+2 guarantees AA graduates admission to 1 of the 11 state universities, not necessarily your university of choice If UCF is your 1st choice university, DirectConnect secures your spot upon graduation from VCC

    5. Who Qualifies Entering VCC students Current VCC students VCC graduates who have not previously attended UCF

How to Register Visit any VCC Answer Center and complete a Change of Major Form Complete UCF online registration form http://www.regionalcampuses.ucf.edu/forms/direct-connect.aspx VCC Alumni do not have to register. Just indicate on your UCF application that you completed your AA/AS degree at VCC

    7. Participation Requirements Meet with your VCC advisor to ensure that you complete all requirements for your AA/AS degree Transfer directly from VCC to UCF Apply for graduation from VCC by the posted deadline Apply to UCF by completing an official undergraduate admission application by the posted deadline Send all official college and high school transcripts to UCF

Restricted & Limited Access Majors at UCF Guaranteed admission to UCF does not mean guaranteed admission in your intended major Limited access (separate application process) Includes: Advertising/PR, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, Film, Journalism, Music, Nursing, Radiological Sciences, Radio TV, Social Work, Theatre, etc. Restricted access (program pre-requisites) Includes: Business, Computer Science, Education, etc.

    9. Take Advantage of UCF Services at Valencia Attend workshops Join the Atlas group Schedule an academic advising appointment Schedule an admissions advising appointment Meet with the financial aid coordinator Participate in a Decision Day admissions event when youre ready to apply to UCF

    10. Tips For Your Transition Complete college-level English and Math courses early Choose an appropriate VCC pre-major Meet with your VCC advisor frequently Meet with the DirectConnect advisor at 30 credits Apply to UCF 2 semesters prior to your intended start term
