    3. Supportive Housing Development Program To provide housing with supportive services for households with special needs earning less than 50% of area median income

    4. Eligible Applicants Nonprofit organizations (operating a minimum of three years with two years of audited financial statements) Local Governments

    5. Types of Housing Emergency Shelter Transitional Housing Permanent Housing

    6. Eligible Populations Homeless Non-Homeless with disabilities, including mental illness, development disabilities, physical disabilities, substance abuse HIV/AIDS, etc. Survivors of domestic violence

    7. Type of Funding 20 year and 30 year 0% Loans up to $500,000 (capped at 75% of Total Development Cost) Continuum of Care Match Loans Predevelopment Loans up to $25,000

    8. Application Process Must schedule an application meeting and site visit prior to submittal of application Applicant and Project Team must have development capacity Must have Site Control Preliminary Design required Supportive Services Plan required

    9. ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2,184 Units Funded since 1994 Units Developed in 49 Counties $43.4 million invested since 1994 in projects worth over $120 million 152 Projects

    12. SHDP 2008 Program Year Available funds – $4 million Application deadlines Pre-application site visits must occur no later than Thursday, March 20, 2008 Complete applications are due at NCHFA by 5:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2008
