Instructions In the this experiment, we will be testing your memory for short lists of words. For each trial in the experiment, you will see the message “ready...” then a series of words will be presented one at a time on the screen. You should say these words to yourself as they are presented. At the end of the word list, a digit will be presented. You should count backwards from this number as quickly as you can, writing each number down in your answer booklet as you go. Do this until you receive the message "recall now." When you see this message, turn to the first blank page in your answer booklet and write down all of the words you can remember from the list most recently given. You will have 15 seconds for recall, then a "stop" message will appear. At this time, you should quit writing and flip to the next page in your booklet. The next trial will begin shortly thereafter. Please do not flip back to previous pages in your booklet at any time during the experiment. - If you have any questions, ask the instructor now - - If not, click on the arrow key to begin -
