  2. Trosten Industries Company LLC., located in Dubai, UAE provides Eurovent Certified Fan Coil Units with UL recognized motor components for your interior spaces. Preventative maintenance helps avoid many of the common problems associated with FCUs. These can include failing to cool or heat the room, removing dirty air filters and coils, fixing thermostat problems and checking for clanking noises while the unit is operating. Listed below are some general tips on fan coil unit maintenance 1. Make sure to follow proper lockout and tagout procedures by ensuring the unit is disconnected from the main power supply and that the circuit or fuse has been properly tagged so that no one accidentally turns the unit on while it is being serviced. 2. The inside and outside of the unit should be inspected to remove any visible debris and dust, especially from the motor and fan blades. Dust collected on the blades can cause the unit to become unbalanced and cause excessive wear and tear to the fan as well. 3. Removing the filter and replacing it is the key. This helps ensure that the fan coil unit has proper airflow and that small particles like dust, dander and pollen are being removed from the indoor air. 4. Add lubrication of the oil tubes if your unit has one and ensure that all moving parts are lubricated so they will not be exposed to excessive heat. If you do not have oil tubes, consult your operating manual for the proper procedures on lubrication. 5. Close and seal the unit and test its operation after the maintenance procedure is completed. Trosten industries is one of very few local fan coil units manufacturers in the GCC region. If you need to call a professional HVAC technician, get in touch with us for preventive maintenance.
