  5. What is ‘The Law’? • In Pairs – mind map what you believe ‘The Law’ to be. Made by Government Crime Prevention Rules The Law

The Law The system of rules that a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and may enforce by the imposition of penalties Asubject of study or as the basis of the legal profession The police The body of divine commandments as expressed in the Bible or other religious texts Law and Justice? ‘Two sides of the same coin…’

  7. What is Justice? What does ‘justice’ mean to you? Personal? Crime and Punishment? Righting wrongs? Karma? Can Justice exist without the Law? Can Law exist without Justice?

  8. Should we decide our own punishments? If we break ‘The Law’ – who decides what the punishment is? What is fair? An eye for an eye? A sentence to fit the crime? Cake or Death?
