  3. Emergency Evacuation On hearing the fire alarm please evacuate the building by the nearest exit/stairs and move to the assembly point. Follow the directions of the Emergency Evacuation Officers. Remain at the assembly site until the Emergency Evacuation Officer has given the all clear. Do not re-enter the building. Do not use the lift in the event of a fire.   5. Cambridge Australia Scholarships Awards a number of PhD scholarships to Australian graduates of outstanding academic merit to study at the University of Cambridge. Recipients are covered for: • The University Composition Fee • Maintenance Allowance - living expenses sufficient for 1 student • Airfares at the beginning and end of the course Eligibility: Bachelor's degree with first-class honours, or a research Master's degree from a recognized Australian university. Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

How To Apply • Applications for funding for a CAS scholarship do not require a separate application. • Apply online using the on-line application portal. • When applying for admission to the University, you must complete the section regarding applying for funding. Tick the box which states, “I wish to be considered for funding including merit based scholarships”, and complete the relevant sections. • You will then automatically be considered for funding by CAS if you meet the criteria.

The Foundation looks for: • Excellence in your field • Demonstrated leadership ability or potential • A vision which will be of benefit to Australia Eligibility Requirements: • Be an Australian citizen • Have completed, or be about to complete, a degree from an Australian institution with outstanding results* • Plan to start a post-graduate degreeat an overseas institution the year after application & selection

The Scholarship • $70,000 per year for up to 3 years.Money is not tied to tuition fees.The Scholarship encourages Scholars to seek additional sources of income. • The Foundation has special affiliations with institutions that benefit John Monash Scholars including: • Kings College London – offering an additional GBP5,000 bursary • IE in Madrid, Spain - offering a 30% fee waiver to female scholars • Cranfield University, UK – offering full fee waiver for Master programs at all schools (except the MBA)

The Application & Selection Process 350 Online Applications submitted each year 40 Candidates shortlisted for National interviews 15-20 Scholarships awarded annually 100Candidates shortlisted for first round interviews First round interviews are held around Australia and via video conference for candidates overseas from August to September – see website for specific dates National interviews are held in Melbourne & Sydney over two days in each location in October– see website for specific dates Online Applications open May 1st and close midnight July 14th Scholarship offers made in October

The online application General information: name, contact details, proof of citizenship, short bio, proposed postgraduate study, budget and month of commencement in the following calendar year.Academic Summary (upload copies of your academic transcripts, list academic awards and achievements)Work Experience (short CV, list of awards, publications and short statement of achievement)Professional statements (one 300 word statement and one 500 word statement – including your postgraduate study proposal)Leadership, engagement & Impact (one 600 word and one 300 word statement) Personal Statements (3 statements of approximately 300 words each)Referee request section: fill out the details of your referees and send their requests – you must have three submitted with your application by the deadline

  22. If you are looking at this presentation, either you know, or someone has told you that you are talented. There is no ‘Rhodes Scholar’, only Rhodes Scholars. We don’t have any particular kind of person, degree or list of achievements in mind.   23. Apply in the state or territory in which you are or have completed your most recent degree, or where you did the majority of your schooling. If you are studying overseas, apply in the state or territory in which you attended secondary school. If you are studying in the ACT or NT, apply via the Commonwealth Territories panel or in the state where you did the majority of your schooling. Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships support: • Graduates seeking to complete up to two semesters of their Australian postgraduate program in the U.S.** • Graduate students to undertake an American postgraduate program such as a Master’s degree** • Graduate students undertaking their Australian PhD to conduct research in the U.S. as a Visiting Student Researcher (VSR) **Placement Services are available for these applicants, confirmed placement at an institution at the time of application is not required
