The TATRC Technology Transfer Imperative Patent and Trademark Law Amendment Act (Bayh-Dole Act) of 1980 Option to retain rights to inventions Must disclose invention to government (within 2 months) Must file patent Must pursue commercialization Must give preference to small business for licensing Must ensure products manufactured in US Must provide government a non-exclusive, non-transferrable, irrevocable paid-up license to use federally funded inventions.
