Key IDP Programmes aligned to NDP “A Place of Excellence” • Ensuring effective community participation through IDP process and Ward Committees / Ward Planning (all 31 Wards) • Provision of economic infrastructure to promote economic growth (Roads, water, electricity, sewerage) • Waste recycling through community based activities • Development of economic development strategies linked to economic growth and jobcreation – Eg draft Investment Incentive Policy • Reduction in RED Tape through the development and implementation of Service Delivery Standards and Standard Operating procedures • Urban Renewal: Paarl CBD Redevelopment, development of Wellington Prescient plan • Mainstreaming LED throughout the Municipal Departments – LED Charter " A Place of Excellence"
