Soil Health Card Programme • Soil Health Card programme was initiated in year 2003-04 in the state. • At present Soil health card contains information on EC, pH, Organic carbon phosphorus, potassium with micro nutrients which is very vital for judicious fertilizer application. • Soil health card also contains the fertilizers recommendation for major Kharif , Rabi and Summer crop of village’s taluka

Objectives of Soil Health Card Programme • Providing soil health card containing Information regarding availability of nutrients. • recommendation of fertilizers on the basis of nutrient status. • Need base Fertilizer application in crop. • Reclamation of saline or alkaline soil on the bases of soil analysis. • Integrated nutrient management to enhance productivity of crops. • More return by reducing cost of fertilizers. • Preparing soil fertility maps

  7. Soil Health Card distributed to all farmers of the state Soil Testing Infrastructure Development Up to March 2010 the total soil testing capacity of state was only 2.00 lakhs per annum, which becomes 10.10 lakhs per year up to the end of March 2012.
