  2. Kakadu is in the Northern Territory(NT), Australia. The area of this is about 20,000km2. Aboriginal people claimed Kakadu about 40,000 years ago. Kakadu National Park was declared under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 1975 (NPWC Act) in three stages between 1979 and 1991.

  3. The average temperature in Kakadu is around about 30°C. It hardly rains here.

  4. Kakadu's flora is among the richest in Australia with more than 1700 plant species recorded which is a result of the Park's geological, landform and habitat diversity. Kakadu is also considered to be one of the most weed free national parks in the world.

  5. There are 74 different species, marsupials and placental mammals. Some of the animals are Kangaroos, wallabies and wild dogs

  6. There are more than 10,000 species of insects. Some of them are grasshoppers, beetles, flies, termites, butterflies and moths, bees, wasps, ants, dragonflies and damselflies, caddis flies,
