  2. Support structure for transporting prematurely born babies and required life support and monitoring equipment. Back injuries sustained by the EMTs, as a result of lifting complete assembly into and out of aircraft. Current system is a modified adult stretcher manufactured by Life Port. Back Ground Information

  3. Lower Weight • Current Sled weighed 37 lbs • Goal weight 28 lbs • Final weight 25lbs

  4. Final Design Sled • Aluminum primarily used for its light weight • Flanged lighting holes used • Tensioner feature added to locking pin cables

  5. Status and Improvements • Still needs to be tested by FAA • Visual confirmation that sled is locked down • More weight reduction possible
