  3. Cartilaginous Joints • Bones joined by some type of cartilage • Limited movement • Hyaline cartilage – ex: • Costal cartilages • Fibrocartilage – ex: • Intervertebral discs • Pubic symphysis

  4. Synovial Joints • Most common – all joints of the limbs • Bones separated by a fluid-filled joint cavity • Allows free movement
