  2. This novel is about a company called UpLink. This story has many setting all around the world and takes place in the year of 2001. The first major event in this story is the destruction of a space shuttle. The next big event an attack on their Brazilian space station. Introduction

  3. Main characters • Gordian He is the boss of the UpLink company. He is an out going character who seems to be a great judge of character. • De Vane He is an evil man with lots of money. He has his own little army. De Vane is described as a young foreign guy.

  4. The main conflict is a series of terrorist attacks on Gordian’s company complexes. • The goes in detail about who Gordian should hire to help. Central Problem

  5. Extras Kuhl; Annie Caulfield; & Tom Ricci Annie Caulfield She is a former astronaut who watches the progression of missions from a screen. She has children and her husband recently died of from cancer. Kuhl He is an assassin for hire. With much wealth, he can afford equipment that has not yet been released to even the armies of nations. Tom Ricci He is a former cop and navy seal. He has dark hair and keeps himself in the best of shape.

  7. Critique I found this novel entertaining for the most part. Scene that talked about the business part of the company were kind of confusing at times. Other parts, I thought were cool like an action movie. Overall I would recommend this book to those interested in the CIA sort of genre that Clancy is well known for writing about.
