Special Education/Section 504 Attend IEP meetings and contribute to development of IEP Schedule and chair Section 504 meetings; develop Section 504 plans Classroom observations of individual students who are having special education evaluations Transitions Monitor and assist in application process in situations where students are planning to apply to private schools. (Please note that teachers and guidance need sufficient time to complete recommendations and applications). Team Placements

  9. Expectations • Homework is given nightly. No late work is accepted without a note. • Projects are assigned both in class and at home. • Tests & quizzes are given during and at the end of each unit. • Binder checks occur quarterly. Students should keep all science papers in their binders.

HOMEWORK (worth 5 points daily) 5 = Neat and Complete 4 = Complete, but work not shown 3 = Not too Neat and/or Not too Complete 2 = Very incomplete 1 = Only a few questions complete Tests (worth 100 points) Quizzes (worth 50 points)- given almost weekly Projects (same as tests) • Survey (Graphing) • Dream Room (decimals, area, and perimeter) • Stock Market (LOTS of skills) GRADING

Binders should be organized with 5 labeled sections: Homework, Classwork, Tests/Quizzes, MCAS, and Vocabulary. • Students should come to class each day prepared with their homework and 2 pencils. • Students should know their multiplication facts from 1-12 VERY WELL. • No late work will be accepted, unless accompanied by a note. • Buckle Down book will be given in early October, and will be used for MCAS review. • Students will be practicing MCAS-type problems on a regular basis. • MCAS review will be offered starting in February-after school.   21. Grading & Expectations *Binders should have 4 labeled sections. *Accordion folder is kept in locker and is for completed units. *Grading is point based. *HW-5 pts. Quizzes-50 pts. Tests & Projects-100 pts. Exams-200 pts. *Homework is assigned daily and is to be returned and completed the next day. Missing homework is a 0, and results in “please sign” in the agenda. *All questions should be attempted, even if incorrect. Effort is everything! *Tests and quizzes are given every few weeks. Projects are periodically assigned, including one on analytical research & writing.

If a student is absent/misses classes, it is his/hers responsibility to gather and submit missing work.
