  2. Shinto was a religion from Japan. It was founded in six-hundred and sixty B.C. However, it did not have a real founder. Origin

  3. Their place of worship is called a Jinja, though it is sometimes called a Taisha, Jingu, Hachimangu, Tenmangu, or Tenjin. Their sacred texts are the Kojiki and Nihongi. Temples and Sacred Texts

  4. Their basic beliefs is that the gods are kami, and the sun god is most important. It is a religion in which you honor the landscape and the gods and spirits that reside in it. The gods are said to take the forms of wind, rain, mountains, trees, rivers,, and fertility. Basic Beliefs

  5. Izanami and Izanagi • It literally means “the way of the Gods. The co-creator deities Izanami and Izanagi are inexplicably compared to yin and yang. Shinto was declared the official religion of Japan and it`s combination with Buddhism was outlawed. Cool Facts
