Neil Armstrong- the first man to step on the moon. 1930 Neil Armstrong was born to his parents Stephen and Viola Armstrong. 1936 Neil and his dad went on their first plane ride on the Tin Goose. 1947 he joins the NAVY so he can go to Purdue University .

  1. Neil Armstrong- the first man to step on the moon.

  2. 1930 Neil Armstrong was born to his parents Stephen and Viola Armstrong.

  3. 1936 Neil and his dad went on their first plane ride on the Tin Goose.

  4. 1947 he joins the NAVY so he can go to Purdue University.

  5. 1950 he flies warplanes off U.S.S. Essex in the Korean War.

  6. 1955 Neil marries Janet Shearon.

  7. Janet and Neil have their first kid in 1957. His name is Eric.

  8. 1959 they have their next kid. Her name is Karen, but Neil calls her Muffel.

  9. 1962 Karen dies of a tumor deep in her brain.

  10. The family has their third kid named Mark,1963.

  11. Neil is the commander of the Apollo 11 spaceship in 1969.

  12. He leaves the NASA program in the1970’s.

  13. Today, in 2011, Neil Armstrong is still alive.
