AWIM Update • 2009 AWIM Kit Distribution • 1,709 kits distributed • (3397 distributed through November 30, 2008) • 25.9% of kits distributed were purchased (425 Total Kits Purchased) • $44, 955 - Revenue brought in from kit sales • 100% of complimentary kits distributed were partnered with STEM professional or part of a funded Special initiative (54% in 2008)

A World In Motion Funding • At projected spend rates, AWIM will experience a deficit between cash flow and expenses in 2012 • By 2013, AWIM deficit is significant • It is projected that AWIM has the potential to generate up to $150K annually in kit sales and sponsorships by 2013 • $500K+ gap in annual funding beginning in 2013

  6. * as of 11/30/09 SAE International approved a new complimentary kit distribution policy in 2009. The result limited the amount of kits distributed to schools, but provided for quality volunteer support of classrooms.

  17. 2010 AAC Goals • New Corporate Involvement • 2 new AWIM companies supporting with volunteers • New Corporate Donations • $300K in pledges, contributions, sponsorships from AAC members OR leads generated by AAC members • Currently at $180K for 2010

Proposed Actions • Introduce AWIM to like-minded companies • Invite to JetToy Olympics • Facilitate Classroom visit(s) • Host a community breakfast to introduce/showcase program • Provide “leads” to SAE Staff • Introduce program & SAE staff to decision-makers • Invite SAE staff for present to company leadership • “Open doors” for SAE Foundation staff with prospective corp. donors
