  1. Year 6 Easter Holiday Homework SATs Revision Dear Parents/Carers, There are only 5 weeks left until the Year 6 SATs! And 2 of those weeks are the Easter holidays! Research has shown that a child who does no studying for 2 weeks can drop at least 1 sub level. Whereas a child who does a little bit of revision every day can maintain their current level and even make progress if they have the right level of challenge. Our children have been working so hard towards their SATs and many have already reached and exceeded their end of year targets. Some children have even made 5 sub-levels of progress already this year! (The average is 2 sub-levels in a whole year). This is fantastic and it will be such a shame if children go backwards at this late stage. Please make sure that your child continues to revise in preparation for their SATs, we suggest doing a little bit every day. We are sending home sample SATs papers for Maths, Reading and Grammar – these must be completed and returned to school on Tuesday 29th April when we will be going through them together in class. In addition, if you have access to the internet, we highly recommend the following website: www.compare4kids.co.uk Go to Education – Bootcamps Username: admin@fulhampri.lbhf.sch.uk Password: revision This is a fun way for the children to revise and is set up in the style of a bootcamp with a set amount of activities to complete each day. Please encourage your child to try and work through the topics that they find the most difficult first. There is no point in them wasting time revising a topic that they are already very good at. We have been using this website at school so the children already know how it works. Finally, the children do also need a break so please allow them an adequate amount of rest and relaxation time too! Thank you for your support, Happy Holidays Mrs Kurdi, Ms Atwal and Kerry
