  1. Why it is Important to Choose Certified Welders for Your Industry Why it is Important to Choose Certified Welders for Your Industry? ? Wherever welding is being done, anyone can pick up a gun and draw a bead as fine-looking as the best weld you've ever seen. Normally, if the weld looks good, it also is good. That is, however, not always the case. You can lay a weld into a corner seam (or any kind of seam, for that matter) that will look like it was done professionally, but underneath the first crust of steel, a lot of things can go wrong. If the amperage to wire speed ratio is off, you're left with a weld that either is just lying there looking pretty, or it has burned the surrounding metals to the point of fatigue and weakness. Wrong gas pressure causes bubbles to form in the metal of the weld, which is invisible to the naked eye. Material to be welded can be contaminated and cause the same kind of bubbles as gas problems cause—this is especially true of specialty materials, such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, nickel, etc... Each one of these problems can weaken your weld dramatically. Put them all into one weld, and you have a catastrophe waiting to happen. Certified welders know all of this. Not only do they know this, but they can do something about it and know what to do about it. There are, of course, welders with certified level skills, that are not certified, but you can't be certain of that. Certified welders are a sure shot every time.

  2. Certified welded structures are much easier to insure than others. Often, structures that are not welded by certified personnel are impossible to insure. Aside from financial or economic benefits, certified welding will eliminate your worries and give you time to care about other important things. You can't put a price on peace of mind.
