  10. Changes according to TDE/NCP v4.1 specification (Expansion of system capacity)

  11. Expansion of IP CO/EXT on MPR (1/3) 1. Support 64 SIP CO channels TDE100/200/600 & NCP1000 : 32ch(2 card)  64ch(4 card) NCP500 : 16ch(1 card)  64ch(4 card) 2. Support 32 IP-GW (H.323) channels NCP500 : 16ch(1 card)  32ch(2 card) 3. Support 128 SIP Extensions NCP500 : 16ch(1 card)  128ch(4 card) NCP1000 : 32ch(2 card)  128ch(4 card) 4. Support 16 IP Cell Stations NCP500/1000 : 8ch(2 card)  16ch(4 card) From v4.1, the capacity of virtual CO/EXT is same for TDE & NCP.

  12. Expansion of IP CO/EXT on MPR (2/3) V-SIPGW16 x Max.4 = 64ch V-IPGW16 x Max.2 = 32ch

  13. Expansion of IP CO/EXT on MPR (3/3) V-IPEXT32 x Max.4 = 128ch V-SIPEXT32 x Max.4 = 128ch V-IPCS4 x Max.4 = 16ch

  14. VoIP-DSP option (1/2) Maximum value of this item was expanded from 53 117 by updating the IPCMPR card hardware. For the maximum DSP path in the new IPCMPR card, please refer to the “VoIP Expansion - IP-TSW Speech Path” section in “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  15. VoIP-DSP option (2/2) Very important notice !! (1)PCMC cannot identify new/old IPCMPR card! Old IPCMPR card physically has only max.53 path. But you can always select 117 for this item if MPR is v4.1. (2)PCMC does not care about active/inactive of SVM function! If SVM function is enabled, 4path of DSP is used for it. So, the available path for BGM becomes 117 – 4 = 113 (old 53 – 4 = 49). But PCMC always allows you to select 117 if MPR is v4.1. (3) MPR software of PBX will always try to use DSP path for BGM of IP-PT by following to the value of this item! If you program illogical values for this item, you may face problems. You must take care about the physical limitations of DSP paths.

  16. Support common account for V-SIPGW 64ch (1/3) Before UPCMC v6.0 You could program Common accounts up to 16ch. All 16ch had to be in the same V-SIPGW card. From UPCMC v6.0 You could program Common accounts up to 64ch. And they do not need to be in thesame V-SIPGW card. For further information, please refer to the “VoIP Expansion - 64ch SIP Trunk” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT for more details.

  17. Support common accounts for V-SIPGW 64ch (2/3) V-Slot1 When you select the Basic Channel for Additional Channels, you can select from all V-SIPEXT ports, not only ports from the same card. V-Slot3

  18. Support common account for V-SIPGW 64ch (3/3) Error message E00010E Reason for this error (1) If you select “Not Used” port as the basic channel for additional channels. (2) If you change a port from “Basic Channel” to “Not Used” while some of additional channels are selected for that basic channel.

  19. Changes according to TDE/NCP v4.1 specification (New/Changed system feature settings)

  20. Centralized VM Transfer (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 You could not use VM Transfer function if you have a Centralized VM configuration and the VM is not on the same PBX network. From UPCMC v6.0 You can use VM Transfer function in even if the VM is on a different PBX network. For more details, please refer to the “Improved Centralized VM Function” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  21. Centralized VM Transfer (2/2) VM(DPT) Group – Unit Setting was changed. The local VM unit which is connected to the same PBX. (Same as old version) You can program only the VM Group FN of the same PBX. The network VM unit which is connected to the other PBX. New item ! You can program only the dial number to call to the network VM. NEW! Max.8digits (1) The number must match to Other PBX Extension Example of Floating Extension No. (TIE): (1) 400 : close numbering plan network (2) 7 911 4501 : open numbering plan network (2) The number must start from TIE Access Code

  22. Parallel Ring for Call Forwarding to CO (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 When Call-FWD(N/A) to CO function is activated, the extension will automatically stop ringing when call forwarding to the outside party. From UPCMC v6.0 As an option, you can keep ringing the extension until the outside party answers the forwarded call. For more details, please refer to the “Improved Call-FWD N/A Function” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  23. Parallel Ring for Call Forwarding to CO (2/2) Extension Setting – FWD/DND tab. NEW! By this new setting, you can control this new function extension by extension. Disable (default) : same as before. Enable : Keep ringing till the CO party answers.

  24. Conference Group Call(DECT Paging) (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 Broadcast mode setting of Conference Group was System setting. You could not program Broadcast mode enable/disable for each Conference Group individually. From UPCMC v6.0 Broadcast mode setting was moved to the Conference Group setting. You can program Broadcast mode enable/disable for each Conference Group individually. For more details, please refer to the “Improved Conference Group Function” and “Paging to DECT” sections in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  25. Conference Group Call(DECT Paging) (2/2) Old: System Option5 Moved! &Changed! New: Conference Group

  26. Camp-on Transfer (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 Camp-on Transfer (Transfer to busy Extension without BSS Operation) setting was System setting. From UPCMC v6.0 Camp-on Transfer setting was moved to the COS setting. You can program Camp-on Transfer enable/disable for each COS (thus for each extension) individually. For more details, please refer to the “Other Improvements - BSS Operation Programming” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  27. Camp-on Transfer (2/2) Old: System Option4 Moved! &Changed! New: Class of Service – Assistant tab

  28. Prohibit Auto-answer (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 If the called DPT had set Auto-answer mode for intercom call, there was no way to make it ring from the calling extension. From UPCMC v6.0 By using the new item “Automatic Answer (Caller)” in COS, you can override the Auto-answer setting of the called DPT and can make it ring. For more details, please refer to the “Network Feature Enhancement - 23 and Auto answer enable/disable by COS” sections in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  29. Prohibit Auto-answer (2/2) New: Class of Service – Assistant tab NEW!

  30. After Conference (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 If you want to keep a CO-CO conversation (unattended conference) after you (DPT) leave a 3rd party conference (CO2-EXT1), you need to press [CONF] button before you on-hook your handset. Otherwise, the two CO parties will be disconnected when you on-hook. From UPCMC v6.0 By using new item “After Conference” of System Option2, you can start the unattended conference by only on-hooking the handset of your DPT without using [CONF] button. For more details, please refer to the “Improved Conference Features” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  31. After Conference (2/2) New: System Option – Option2 tab NEW!

  32. Forced Idle when Hold by PDN/SDN key (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 If you execute HOLD call from a CTI application (such like CA: Communication Assistant) in the PDN/SDN mode of DPT, DPT causes sound-leakage by keeping the active status of SP-PHONE. This problem occurs because the call-status of PBX and CTI mismatches the HOLD call on the PDN/SDN key. This is known issue of TDE/NCP v3. From UPCMC v6.0 By using the new item "Forced Idle when Hold by PDN/SDN key", SP-PHONE of DPT is automatically turned off by the PBX when you execute the HOLD call from the CTI application. (If the above-mentioned setting is Enable.) This is also one of the enhancements for TDE/MPR v4.1.

  33. Forced Idle when Hold by PDN/SDN key (2/2) New: System Option – Option6(CTI) tab NEW!

  34. CA Chat (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 We could not stop the Chat function of CA Client. From UPCMC v6.0 By the new item “CA Chat” in COS Settings, we can prevent a Chat session from being started by a CA Client. (We cannot inhibit the receiving of Chat at a CA Client) For more details, please refer to the “Improved CA integration” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  35. CA Chat (2/2) New: COS Settings – CA tab NEW!

  36. CA ICD Group Log Out (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 We could not prevent Logout operation of CA Client. From UPCMC v6.0 By the new item “CA ICD Group Log Out” in COS Settings, we can inhibit the Logout operation CA Client. For more details, please refer to the “Improved CA integration” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  37. CA ICD Group Log Out (2/2) New: COS Settings – CA tab NEW!

  38. Inform Annex B Status (G.729A) (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 As specification, V-SIPGW does not support G.729 Annex-B. G.729 Annex-B is “silent suppression” (VAD). Previously, the information of "Non-supporting" to G.729 Annex-B was not clearly offered by the SDP of SIP message. From UPCMC v6.0 By the new item "Inform Annex B Status (G.729A)“ in V-SIPGW Port property, this information can be offered by the SDP of SIP message from V-SIPGW if it is set to Enable. The compatibility of SIP Trunk provider which requests G.729 Annex-B for the voice codec is improved by this setting. This is also one of the enhancements for TDE/MPR v4.1.

  39. Inform Annex B Status (G.729A) (2/2) New: V-SIPGW Port property - Voice/FAX tab NEW!

  40. Support Verizon (1/3) “Verizon” is name of a SIP Trunk Provider in USA. This provider requested some of the special parameters in SIP For compatibility with their SIP Server and Services. For this reason, we added 3 additional settings in V-SIPGW16 – Port property. Because “Verizon” is the local provider of USA, this is the enhancement only for USA. In World version PCMC, you can not see these additional 3 items. This is also one of the enhancements for TDE/MPR v4.1.

  41. Support Verizon (2/3) 1. Option tab : Diversion header (for Verizon) NEW!

  42. Support Verizon (3/3) 2. Calling Party tab : P-Asserted-Identity header NEW!

  43. Send CLIP of Extension Caller (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 CLIP for all forwarded calls had been decided by the setting of "Send CLIP to CO Caller". Because the CLIP for the call from extension and from CO were depending on the same setting, contradiction was caused. From UPCMC v6.0 By adding the new item "Send CLIP of Extension Caller" in System Option4, we divide the handling of CLIP for the forwarded call of extension and of CO. For more details, please refer to the“Call-FWD CLIP” section in the “KX-TDA/TDE/NPC New Features/Functions Ver.4” PPT.

  44. Send CLIP of Extension Caller (2/2) New: System Option – Option6(CTI) tab CLIP for forwarded CO call NEW! CLIP for forwarded EXT call

  45. Support 24 Ports Analog Extension Card HOOK Threshold setting (1/2) Before UPCMC v6.0 A certain kind of commercial SLT (usually Caller-ID display phone) sometimes uses more current than a standard SLT intermittently even when idle Such SLT type is very rare, but we know some of such SLT. The extension card senses the SLT off-hook via the LPR software, such SLTs gives too high load for the software by keeping on-hook/off-hook state continuously. (at this moment, only ECSLC24 is this type of extension card.) Because of this, the extension card causes extremely slow operation, and it becomes almost impossible to control the SLT. We can escape from this problem by not sensing unnecessary off-hook states if we can set higher threshold for the sense of the off-hook of SLT. Previously, we could not program this threshold from PCMC. From UPCMC v6.0 We can program this threshold from PCMC. For ECSLC24(TDE600), we can program 3.0 - 4.0mA (0.1mA interval). This is also one of the enhancements for TDE/MPR v4.1.

  46. Support 24 Ports Analog Extension Card HOOK Threshold setting (2/2) New: Card Property(ECSLC24) You can set Hook Threshold current for A-Law and Mu-Law codec. Value ranges are same NEW!

  47. Feature unification between World and US version (1/2) 1. Utility - File Transfer FTP to IP Equipment NT300 was supported only by US version till the previous UPCMC. NEW for World version UPCMC

  48. Feature unification between World and US version (2/2) 2. Maintenance Main – Password tab System Password for login to PCMC was hidden (in batch mode only) for the reason of security for the personal information. It was previously supported only by the World version. NEW for US version UPCMC

  49. Operation improvement/specification changes of existing items

  50. Rearrangement of “COS Settings” screen (1/4) 1. The tab names were changed Old Renamed Divided New
