  1. AMS-02 Thermal GSE Phase III Ground Safety Review 22 Feb 2010

  2. TTCS Condensers Ducted cooled air is need to operated the Tracker Thermal Control System (TTCS) TTCS condensers need to be cooled in order to reject heat from Tracker (144 W) A/C units have been requested from KSC Outlets will be ducted to condensers mounted on Tracker radiators

  3. Cooling System for TTCS Condensers Flexible ducts Airco cooler

  4. Duct Detail

  5. Zenith Radiator Zenith radiators need to be cooled in order to operate cryocoolers Fans (and possibly conditioded air) need to blow over zenith radiators in SSPF. Extensive trial and error has been used to date 2 fans will be mounted in Canister to direct flow over zenith radiator The coldest possible purge flow is being requested in order to run cryocoolers in PLB

  6. Main Radiators Fans will be needed to cool electronics mounted on Main Radiators

  7. CAB When charging the magnet, the Cryomagnet Avionics Box (CAB) must reject a significant amount of heat. When AMS is vertical (SSPF configuration), the CAB Loop Heat Pipe will not function. Fans and/or ducted, conditioned air will be needed to cool the CAB during magnet charge.

  8. Magnet Hardware Various Heat guns will be used to keep ice from forming on Vacuum Case and external magnet hardware
