  9. Regulation • Unprecedented reporting requirements • Ten days to complete the report • New “report” structure • New “system” to upload report • Checks & balances within the FederalReporting.Gov

  11. Reporting Challenges • Principal Investigator (PI) Surveys • Majority respond on time! GREAT JOB! • Non responsive PIs • Escalate to Academic Department Staff or Department Head quickly • Non responsive sub recipient PIs • Escalate to SPA and U of M PI quickly

  12. Reporting Challenges • Quality of Surveys • Data inconsistencies • Award marked as complete but not fully spent or award marked as not started but there are expenses • SFR contacts PI directly • Advise PI on a more appropriate choice
