  2. The ancestry of computers Computer technology wouldn’t be the same that it is today without some of the tools they built make a while ago before there were macs and pc. Some of the oldest technology that advanced are computers now a days are Abacus an old calculating tool instead of written equations. Next is the antikythora which is the oldest gear mechanism found on a Greek island. Last is the multicplaction wheel . It was a mechanical wheel calculator.

Basic tasks of a computer • There are many tasks a computer can perform some examples are • A computer stores data information for you which you can retrieve later on. • It performs calculating functions. • In homes you can control your temperature from a computer device. • It runs software for example, power point, word perfect and paint.

  6. What are computers used for in schools now a days • Now a days computer play a big role in every day life which is why kids go too school using computers everyday. Computers are used as a way to gather information using the world wide web put can also be used as a way to communicate with others. Computers have lots of learning tools like writing programs, slide programs and calculators.

  7. What is VisiCalc and why is it so important? VisiCalc is the first ever spread sheet program. first released for apple 2 and is the biggest business computer software of its time. You could save data on a disk and use it later Print worksheets
