  4. Advantages of the EASA model Fits better with new technology aircraft Line / Base Maintenance privileges split Avionics privileges integrated International training is to this standard

  5. What does this mean for NZ We are becoming “out of step” with others Recognition of our AMEL is limited now and becoming more so Most OEM training now /or moving to the EASA model

  6. What should we do? Options • Stay as we are • Move to the EASA Part 66 Model • Something else

  7. Advantages of Change Recognition & alignment of Licence Assist within Part 145 recognition Ab-initio and Type Training to common standards Opportunity to provide training within NZ to international market

  8. How do we get there? Drive should come from within our industry Need to raise awareness and importance of change Work together How do we achieve this?
