  6. RN’s • 18hr. Staff training from Baby-Friendly • Explained step # 9 • Showed the research

  7. MD’s • Presented at MD meetings • Met with ob office staff and managers

  8. Parents • They receive the “No Pacifier” handout in ob offices

  9. March 1,2011 • We no longer give out pacifiers • They are used for painful procedures only, heel sticks, IVs, circumcisions etc… • RNs have to sign out pacifiers and the reason it was used.

  10. Also in step 9 • No artificial nipples to breastfeeding infants We cup feed all breastfeeding infants if a compliment (supplement) is needed. • Pay for formula As of April 1,2011 we purchase our formula!!!!
