The hen sits on her eggs to keep them warm. • Her body keeps the eggs moist. • She turns the eggs often.
A tiny spot forms on the yolk. • The spot grows bigger and bigger. • The spot will grow into a chick. • The yolk feeds the chick as it grows.
The chick hatches in 21 days. It pushes its way out with its beak.
The chick grows bigger.The chick will grow into a hen or a rooster.
