  2. What is Meditation? • It is a practice • The purpose is to relax the mind or go into a mode of consciousness • It is used to promote relaxation, get internal energy (like chi), to improve ones life and build on characteristics such as compassion, love, patience, generosity, and forgiveness

  3. Health • Benificial to health • Helps reduce blood pressure, depression, and anxiety among many other health related issues. • It is a stress-reducing technique

  4. Techniques • Sitting • Active • Yoga, other mind training techniques
