  5. What is a Steward? • Not used much today • Gk word, οἰκονόμος (oikonomos) A combination of house and law • One who is in charge of running a household

  6. What is a Steward? • Often the chief servantcf. Joseph, Ex. 39:2-6 • Lk. 12:42, “Who then is a faithful and wise steward whom his master will make ruler over his house…” While on earth, we are servants of God, entrusted with resources to use for His glory
