  23. Italia Aeneid: Books X-XII - Among all the battles, Turnus (Rutilian) kills Pallas (from Pallanteum) - Aeneas is enraged by this, as Pallas and Aeneas had become great friends

  24. Italia Aeneas challenges Turnus to a duel to end the conflict and decide who will marry Lavinia Aeneas defeats Turnus, and then kills him.
