  2. So what do we already know about probability? ~ It is a measure of how likely it is that some event will occur. ~ It is most likely learned during math class. ~ Someone can use any object to practice answering questions about probability.

  3. There are ten skittles in a bag. What is the probability that someone will choose a red skittle if there are three red, three purple, two orange, one yellow, and one green? Choose the correct answer: 1 out of 3 B. 3 out of 10 C. 1 out of 2 D. 7 out of 10

  4. IT’S OKAY, JUST TRY AGAIN!

  5. Correct!Move onto the next question by clicking on the blue star

  6. What is the probability of getting a one when someone rolls a die with six sides? Choose the correct answer: A. 3 out of 6 C. 1 out of 6 B. 2 out of 6 D. 4 out of 6

  7. Incorrect, just try one more time.

  8. Correct! Go ahead and move along to the next question!

  9. What is the probability of rolling a two and a four? *this can be a little tricky* Which is the correct answer? A. 1 out of 6 C. 1 out of 2 B. 4 out of 6 D. 2 out of 6

  10. Congratulations! Move onto the next question

  11. There are eight blocks in a bag. What is the probability of picking a cube if there are four pyramids, two cubes, and two spheres?

  12. What are the steps to take to figure out the answer? First: Go back and read how many items there are altogether. Next: Figure out what item the question is focusing on—in this case, it is the cube. Then: For this question, there are two cubes and there are eight items, so therefore, it is possible to choose one out of two cubes in the bag. Finally: You now know that the probability of choosing a cube out of all the eight items is 2 out of 8, or in other words… A. one-half B. one-fourth

  13. Good Job! Now for one last question… There are twenty pieces of fruit in a basket. If there are eight oranges, four apples, six pears, and two bananas, what is the probability of choosing either an orangeora pear? A. 4 out of 20 or 6 out of 20 C. 8 out of 20 or 6 out of 20 B. 8 out of 20 or 2 out of 20 D. 4 out of 20 or 2 out of 20

  14. You’re Awesome! Take a look at these different types of lollipops! Count all of them then concentrate on how many dum-dums there are. Click here!

  15. What is the probability of choosing a dum-dum lollipop out of the bunch of pops? A. 5 out of 12 C. 5 out of 5 B. 1 out of 12 D. 4 out of 12

  16. Good Answer! You have successfully completed the probability review! Here are a few links to give you more practice! http://www.analyzemath.com/statistics/probability_questions.html This is a website designed to help students answer probability questions.
