  3. Systems Engineering is… …the branch of engineering concerned with the development of large and complex systems. A system is an assembly or combination of interrelated elements or parts working together toward a common objective.

  4. Environmental Systems Engineering… …brings these two engineering disciplines together, to devise and implement solutions which manage interrelated elements of the environment, industry and society to work towards the goal of sustainable development.

  5. Graduates of the programme will be able to: • understand interactions between discrete elements of complex environmental systems; and • develop environmental strategies and design solutions that satisfy industry and community demands.
