Design Support Status • Flight/fly-away hardware designs (all remaining hardware listed) • MLI blankets: draft drawings still out for check • External fly-away instrumentation cables: layout complete • TKR accel mount bracket: drafts complete, waiting to send out for check • Assembly drawings (all remaining assembly drawings listed) • LAT-DS-06721 External Cable Installation Kit • First draft bill of materials complete; drawing in internal check • LAT-DS-02563-01 LAT Instrument Assembly • First draft bill of materials complete; drawing in internal check • LAT-DS-01624-01 LAT Top Assembly • Model up-to-date, but drawing not yet started • Interface Drawings • All interface drawings released and up-to-date with no known liens

Integration Planning • LAT Integration Sequence (LAT-MD-00676-04) • Updated rev put in release cycle this month—includes early ACD, SIU integration and FSW testing • Configuration drawings • LAT Instrument Configuration Assembly • Drawing complete—waiting internal checking • Integration MGSE (all remaining integration MGSE listed) • ACD Lift Fixture • Drawings completed this month—drawings released, with 4 rev’s in release cycle now • Design review held this month • EM-SIU Mount Plate • Drawing released this month

Environmental Test Planning • Current focus is to complete all Plan-level documents by the end of August • All Test Plans are out in the release cycle • Next step (Aug-Sep) • Develop procedure list—being prepared for NRL F2F on Sep 7 • Complete MGSE designs—in progress; see status chart • Start drafting procedures—not started yet • Finalize NRL logistics plans—Implementation Plan draft being prepared for NRL F2F • Develop Pathfinder plans for prototyping at NRL in November—pathfinder activities identified; plans to be discussed at NRL F2F • Pathfinder (Oct-Nov) • Complete all procedures that are needed for Pathfinder • Walk through procedures using real MGSE hardware at NRL • Update procedures based on Pathfinder experiences • Release procedures prior to TRR and LAT shipment

Thermal Engineering Activities – Current • Design Engineering and Support • Environmental Specification – change Tracker Acceptance Level Tests (35C to 45C) • Reviewing electrical grounding scheme for MLI blankets with NASA/GSFC • LAT Level Thermal Analysis and Tests • Thermal math model for LAT TVAC Test almost complete—LAT support stand GSE will be incorporated into model when time becomes available (after radiator/TCS protoqual tests–end of August) • Modification of orbit thermal model to predict ground operation temperatures with integrated ACD • Subsystem Support and Oversight • Planning for TKR TVAC support: TKR 11 & 12 week of 5 Sept and TKR 13 & 14 week of 12 Sept. • LAT Thermal Control System • RCMC is currently being used in Radiator/TCS Protoqual test. • Lockheed Thermal Control System Hardware • Radiator/TCS Protoqual Test in progress; hot performance and cold survival test segments completed.
