  1. Plan of athletes’ inspection : • Passport data • Life anamnesis • Sports anamnesis • Data of nearest sports anamnesis • Anthropometric data (body mass, height, volume of thorax, spirometric and dynamometric data) • Somatic detection • Examination on organs and systems • Additional methods of inspection • Functional tests of heart and lungs • Conclusion

  2. Measuring of height : а – standing; b – sitting. • Having a knowledge about body length in twopositions we can found the coefficient of proportionality /КP/ : КP = ( L1-L2 ) / L2 100 , де • L1 –body length in the standing position , L2 –body lengthin the sitting position • Normal meaning of KP = 87-92% . KP is important atsports occupation . Persons with low КPat equal other conditions, have low disposition ofgravity centre, that give themthe advantage at executing of exercises, whichrequireof body balancein the space ( mountain ski, ski-jumping ,wrestling, weight –lift athletics ). On the contrary, persons with the high meaning of КPare better injumping , running. The meaning of КP for women is rather less than formen.

  3. Measuring of chest circumference • Chest circumference ( C. C. ) is measured in condition of maximal inspiration , complete expiration and during pause. Difference between C. C. after maximal inspiration and maximal expiration indicate on the degree of chest mobility (chest excursion) . It’s in average 4-5 cm for men and 4- 7 cm for women. The sportsmen, especially the swimmers , may have chest excursion 10-14 cm and chest excursion may be decrease to 2-1 and even to 0 cm for sick persons .

  4. Measuring of chest circumference . • Circumference of chest is measured in condition of maximal inspiration, complete expiration, and duringpause. Difference betweenthis sizesindicates on the на degree of chest’smobility ( excursion, amplitude ). It consist 4–5 cmfor men and 4 –7 cmfor women. The sportsmen, especially the swimmers , may have thechest excursion 10 –14 сm andC.E. may be decrease to 2 –1 cm, sometime до 0, for sick persons.

  5. Vertebral Column – the column of life

  6. ESTIMATION ОFPHYSICALCONDITION(DEVELOPMENT): • standards • indexes • correlationOF DIFFERENT FACTORS

  7. Estimation ofphysical development( the methods ofindexes): Body mass ( for adult) we can find after formula of Berngard : Body mass = ( Height · (Volume of chest ) / 240 Іdeal body mass(М) we can calculate after formulaof Lourence: М = Р - [100 - (Р - 150) / 4], Р –height (рcm ). Index of Gabs Р = 56 + 4/5 (L - 150), Р –body mass ( kg ), L – height ( cm ) . Index of Kettle: Р / L (g/сm); Р – body mass (gr ), L – height ( cm )for men - 370...400 , for women - 325...375 .

  8. Physical development :Indexes of proportionality : • Index of Manuvrie - ratio of legs’ length to trunk’s length( % ): • (L standing / L sitting - 1) * 100 • ( Normal meaning - 87...92 % ), at less meaning - the relative short legs, atlarger – the relative long legs

  9. Index of Pin’e : • L - (P + T), Р –body mass ( kg ) , L – height ( cm ), Т – circumference of chestafter expiration ( cm ). • 10 – strong body- building, • 11...15 - good, • 16...20 - average, • 21...25 -weak , • 26 and more – very weak .

  10. Proportions for separate body parts, which are having a strong character for proportional development persons • Chest circumference : pelvis circumference (C.) =10:9 Neck C.=38% of Chest C., or 2/3 Hip C. ,or biceps C. Before-arm C. = 36% of Chest C. Waist C. = 75% of Chest C. Hip C. = 60% of Pelvis C. Shin C. = 40% of Pelvis C. According to Greek canons neck c., shin c., and biceps c. are approximately equall.

  11. Indexes of strong type of body - buildingheight– ( BODY MASS + CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE) • 10-15 – strong body - building • 16-20 – good body - building • 21-25 – average body - building • 26-30 – weak body - building • 31 and more – very weak body - building

  12. WEIGHT AND HEIGHT INDEXBODY MASS ( G ) : HEIGHT( CM ) • Gram quantity on the 1 cm of height: • > 540 – obesity • 451 - 540 – surplus weight • 416 - 450 – plus weight • 401 - 415 – good nutritional state • 400 – the best nutritional state for men • 390 – the best nutritional state for women • 360 - 389 – average nutritional state • 320 - 359 - bad nutritional state • 300 - 319 - very bad nutritional state • 200 - 299 - emaciation
