  2. 1.1 ELEMEN JARINGAN BSC • Base Station : jalur ( link ) antara Mobile Station dengan MSC • Siemens Base Station berisi elemen jaringan :

  3. 1.1.1 Base Station Controller (BSC) Merupakan sentral Unit dari SBSFungsi utama : Kanal traffik melalui switching ( gambar a)Memonitor error elemen jaringan lain.(gambar b)

  5. 1.1.2 Base Transeiver Station Equipment (BTSE) Berisi unit frekuensi tinggi yang dibutuhkan untuk melayani satu atau lebih sell yang disebut BTS

  6. 1.1.3 Transcoding and Rate Adaptation Unit (TRAU) Bertanggung jawab terhadap proses transcoding percakapan dan re-adaptasi kanal traffik

  7. 1.1.4 Local Maintenance Terminal (LMT) • Merupakan PC yang dapat dihubungkan keseluruh elemen jaringan untuk menyelenggarakan layanan O &M

  8. 1.2 INTERFACE SBS • BTSE,BSC,TRAU secara phisik terpisah satu sama lain , namun dapat menjadi suatu unit gabungan. • Elemen jaringan tersebut dihubungkan satu sama lain dan ke MSC dengan menggunakan interface yang dikenal dengan Um INTERFACE • Um interface menghubungkan mobile subscriber ke mobile network melalui kanal radio

  10. T interface : untuk komunikasi LMT dengan TRAU , BSC , atau BTSE • O interface : menghubungkan SBS ke OMC

  11. 1.3 KONFIGURASI LINK SBS • Setiap TRAU memiliki hubungan yang terpisah ( melalui Asub) ke BSC • Hubungan ini disebut STAR • Hubungan BTSE ke BSC dapat melalui : - Hubungan STAR - Hubungan Multidrop chain - Hubungan Loop.
