  3. Web 2.0 defined • Web 2.0 • evolution of the web to a collection of sites and tools that allow people to collaborate, create and share multimedia content. • Impact on common folks: A move from consumers of media to producers of media. Kids can and do contribute.

  13. Hands-on: Audacity • Audacity is a free software application that can be used to create multi-track mp3 audio files • http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ • Files can be uploaded to a web site or blog to create a podcast • Open Audacity to see what it looks like
