  2. 3º MANDAMENTO Êx. 20 7 Não tomarás o nome do SENHOR, teu Deus, em vão, porque o SENHOR não terá por inocente o que tomar o seu nome em vão. • IMPORTÂNCIA DO NOME NO A.T. • Ligação com a pessoa. Mais que mera distinção. • Indicação de caráter (Mt. 1.21). • Abraão – pai de multidões (Gn. 17.5). • Isaque – Riso (Gn. 21.6). • Jacó – trapaceiro (Gn. 25.26). • Israel – o que luta com Deus (Gn. 32.28). • Benoni – filho das minhas dores (Gn. 35.18). • Abimeleque – meu pai é rei (Jz. 8.31).
